The Hotel Terme Apollo lies at the foot of the Euganean Hills, which were shaped by the natural world millions of years ago.
Fire and water met here, giving rise to the precious hot spring water containing sodium chloride, bromine and iodine that is used in inhalation therapy and also enriches the thermal mud used in our establishments.
Our pools are filled with this remarkable water and we can provide the rehabilitative hydrokinesitherapy and fangotherapy that made the Euganean hot springs into Europe’s first and oldest preventive health resort.
The lasting benefits of these forms of therapy have been known since the time of the ancient Romans, who came to this area to recuperate after big battles.
Mud
Euganean mud’s unique qualities come from bioactive molecules, which are like natural medicines produced by the microorganisms and algae in mature mud. As well as fighting the inflammation associated with rheumatic disorders, these substances have useful pain-relieving properties and they can contribute to remineralization of cartilage and bone tissue.
Water
Due to the distinctive composition of the water that flows naturally from our spring at 78°C, during inhalation therapy it helps to produce a beneficial purifying effect on the mucous membranes in the respiratory system and can also play a significant role as a preventive treatment for people with allergies. The therapy is completely natural so it is suitable for people of all ages, including children.
Agreements
Our hotel has an agreement that means people who are eligible for treatment under the Italian National Health Service can undergo a cycle of fangotherapy and balneotherapy or inhalation therapy and they only have to pay the applicable prescription charge. To gain access to the therapy, it is necessary for the patient to have a red prescription from the local health authority that is written by their doctor and provides details of the condition requiring treatment, instructions for the therapy and the number of treatments required.
We look forward to welcoming you to your next revitalizing break and hope you have a great summer!
